City of La Junta

Beginning July 1, 2022, all sales tax for the City of La Junta will be collected by the State of Colorado. When you file your Colorado State returns for July 2022 and forward, on the State of Colorado portal, please include City of La Junta sales tax under the City of La Junta column on the state return. For further details, please refer to the state’s website at https://www.colorado.gov/revenueonline/_/ or email dor_localgovsupport@state.co.us.

All returns for periods prior to July 2022 must be sent directly to the City of La Junta. However, on-line filing is no longer available.

Beginning July 2022, a City of La Junta sales tax license will no longer be required, but a valid Colorado state sales tax license must be maintained.

 

The sales/use tax rate for the City of La Junta is 3%. The lodging tax is 4.5%. The City of La Junta will continue to collect use and lodging tax through its portal.
