La Junta Municipal Court
The La Junta Municipal Court is responsible for processing citations issued in violation of city ordinances. Citations are issued by the La Junta Police Department.Case variety includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Traffic offenses within the city limits
- Criminal misdemeanors
- Municipal Code violations
La Junta Municipal Court is located in the City Building at 601 Colorado Avenue. Our phone number is (719)363-1246.
We do not handle summonses for County Court. Please check your summons. For Otero County Court information, please click here.
Our hours are:
- Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Friday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Court sessions convene on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers.
We are closed on New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, July
4th, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday)
and Christmas.
